AAngelsNJ feeds lunch and dinner to over 25 Essex and Union County Front-Liners and First Responders”
AAngelsNJ, a grassroots breast cancer education, cancer awareness and support services nonprofit that serves Essex and Union County residents (but not limited to) comprised of 23 women volunteers of which 9 are breast cancer survivors says "Thank You" to front-liners and first responders. From April 6th - April 24th, they have provided pizza lunches and dinner to 25 different departments.
AAngelsNJ Founder and CEO, Angelina Killane-Sims, had this to say, "We are more than breast cancer. AAngelsNJ does many community service projects and services our communities with direct support. At such a crucial time like this, when our communities are under attack, we put on our wings and take flight. We want our front-liners and first responders to know, that we are very thankful for all they do every day, but especially during strenuous and unknown times like this Covid-19 pandemic. They could be safe at home with their families, but instead, they risk it all for us, and we truly appreciate them. So we came up with a plan to feed 25 different departments, made are local list and did it."
The 25 departments fed by AAngelsNJ include: East Orange General Hospital, Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, University Hospital in Newark, St Michaels Medical Center in Newark, Newark's Beth Israel Hospital, St. Barnabas Medical Center, Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, Trinitas Medical Center in Elizabeth, Stratford Nursing home in Livingston, Orange Police Dept., Orange Fire Dept., East Orange Police Dept., East Orange Fire Dept. (HQ), West Orange Police Dept., So Orange Police Dept., Bloomfield Police Dept., Glen Ridge Police Dept., Montclair Police Dept., Newark Police Dept., Elizabeth Police Dept., Union Police Dept., Verona Police Dept., Essex County Sheriff's Patrol Dept., Essex County Dept of Emergency Management, Union County Sheriff's Dept.
